About Me

Hello.  My name is Leah and I'm an American expat living in Brisbane, Australia with my Australian husband and two amazing kiddos.  I am a busy stay-at-home mom and I enjoy good food.  I guess I'm a bit of a food snob because I try to buy organic when I can and mostly avoid packaged foods.  I don't have a lot of time to be cooking elaborate dinners, so the food I cook has to be relatively easy and quick.  It also has to be pretty darn tasty because let's be honest, at the end of an exhausting day with the brood, I deserve to eat an amazing meal.

I spend every night browsing TasteSpotting and foodgawker and I bookmark everything I want to make.  I'm always learning and I love to eat good food! I had another food blog in order to keep track of all my recipes, but then I realized that my cooking is too good not share with the world so I started this one.

My husband has Coeliac disease, which means that he cannot consume gluten.  Gluten is found in wheat, barley, rye, and oats (although, apparently you can get gluten-free oats in the US).  Most of the dinner recipes on this blog are gluten-free, but only because they happen to be.  I don't like to use gluten-free substitutes.

Welcome to my kitchen and I hope you join me on my cooking journey!
